Fields that Meet Your Dreams
At the Salvage Yard, the field is the most important piece to our puzzle of providing a great and memorable experience. We use a proprietary blend of turf that allows our field to play around 10 degrees cooler than most turf fields, which is important in the hot Texas heat. And naturally, turf allows us to play in most weather conditions. We created large spacious dugouts so players have freedom to move and enjoy their game. The outfield fences were designed to create excitement. There will also be working scoreboard in right-center field, that will be operated by the umpires.
It's All About the Details
A 15 foot tall fence that starts in left field and wraps all the way around to right center, where it abruptly lowers to 5 feet until you get to the right field foul pole. Left field plays to 200 feet, Center field plays to 210 feet and Right Field plays to 195 feet. We have the ability to play at different age groups to, allowing for 60, 65, and 70 foot bases. We also have the ability to set bases at 80 and 90 feet for practices as well.
